Take a moment. Enjoy the fruits of your hard work. Share the moment with others. As happiness begins to rear its gorgeous head into your life, one cannot forget that it was hard work that got you there. Embrace the glory.
Once the moment has presented itself, take advantage of sharing and bring others up with you. In addition, there is a short amount of time where you can bask in your success and show others without seeming arrogant. However, bask too much and it can be seen as gloating. This is where your character shines and you do not overshare.
I have had a wonderful life playing music for so many wonderful people. I love it when I am on stage and everyone is dancing or chanting to the music I curated. People are there to see me and hear me play music I enjoy. The spotlight feels amazing. Equally, I never forget to step away from the spotlight and let others outshine me. I give credit to those who pushed me up along the way. These are the people who have helped me become the person I am. They are the support structure. Some people have held up emotional pillars in my life, others have professionally guided me. Regardless of where these people fit in, they allow this building to stand. I find it more important to allow others to have my spotlight as it allows me to absorb the efforts I have put in. More importantly, it gives others a chance to shine brighter than me and it’s a reminder that I am nothing without that structure.
As you grow, let those around you share your happiness. Staying humble is a great way to prolong happiness. Not only are you able to relish in the greatness you have made but it allows others around you to have their moment. In addition, you are able to learn and grow from them as well.
