WILTON MANORS, Fla. – Art Gallery 21 is pleased to announce it is partnering with The Opera Society to host heARTsong Exhibit: The Art Life of Carolyn Lindsay at the Island City Cultural Center (600 NE 21 Court, Wilton Manors, FL 33305) opening to the public on Saturday, Nov. 16th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and showing through Dec.7th, 2024 every Friday and Saturday.

This new exhibit was curated by Jan Solomon in honor of her late mother, Carolyn Lindsay, featuring Lindsay/s unique paintings and sculptures lovingly donated to The Opera Society by Jan and Harold Solomon and the Lindsay Family in an effort to raise funds for two local organizations and causes near and dear to their families. “This exhibit offers a wonderful opportunity to support both the local arts and The Opera Society. All artwork in this exhibit will be available for sale with 80 percent of proceeds benefiting The Opera Society’s ongoing mission and 20 percent going to Art Gallery 21,” said Jan Soloman.

The opening night of the heARTsong art exhibit will bring together local art and opera enthusiasts to honor and celebrate the art life of Carolyn Lindsay on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  “We’re hoping to sell Carolyn Lindsay’s beautiful artwork and ultimately raise funds for the Opera Society with this special exhibit,” said Constance Ruppender, founder and president of Art Gallery 21.

 

Open to the public, attendees can expect to enjoy complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvres as they peruse the heARTsong exhibit and mingle amongst friends. “We’re encouraging everyone to invite their friends and family and join us for the opening ceremony on November 16th. And if they can’t make the opening night, the exhibit  will be available to the public every  Friday and Saturday until December 7th,” Ruppender stated.
