Join Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA) for an intimate evening of fine wine, excellent food, and incredible art during the Fourth Annual Art & Somm, presented by Burdette Beckmann Inc. (BBI). Guests will enjoy an evening of fine wines, cuisine, and an exclusive artist encounter with internationally acclaimed Miami-based photographer Anastasia Samoylova, who is also on exhibit at The Met.

Art & Somm is set for November 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. at MAD, 481 S. Federal Highway in Dania Beach. Tickets to this exclusive private event are $250 per person, and seating is limited. 100% of the ticket proceeds will benefit BFA’s Endowed Fund for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Broward. Tickets are available here.

Samoylova is a Russian-born artist who alternates between observational photography and studio practice. Beginning in October 2024, her exhibition Floridas: Anastasia Samoylova and Walker Evans will be featured at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City until May 2025, coinciding with the release of her comprehensive monograph Adaptation, published by Thames & Hudson. The exhibition brings together photographs and paintings of Florida by two artists of different generations who have sought to understand its complexity and contradictions.

Samoylova relocated to Miami in 2016, where she has focused on documenting environmental threats facing flood-risked communities. This led to her first major monograph, FloodZone. Her ongoing Floridas project presents a multifaceted portrait of the state’s cultural and political identity, while her Image Cities series explores urban landscapes worldwide. Samoylova’s recent accolades include a shortlist nomination for the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize, as well as prestigious awards such as the Ellies Creator Award. Her works are held in renowned collections, including those of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Pérez Art Museum Miami.
