Our Fund Foundation was launched in 2010 by a small group of committed activist philanthropists in response to the low ratio of philanthropy directed to LGBT organizations in the region, and across the country. Recognizing that a concentration of LGBT wealth exists in the region for the next several decades due to the dense LGBT population base in South Florida, a LGBT foundation was envisioned as a means of capturing and preserving LGBT financial resources to create a livable community for this and future generations in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties.

One hundred individuals, couples and families signed on as First Hundred Funders with three-year financial commitments of $4,500 – $45,000 to support Our Fund’s infrastructure and initial granting.

Since 2011, Our Fund Foundation has become the 3rd largest LGBT foundation in the country, granting $1,500,000+ annually to worthy non-profit agencies advancing LGBT causes in South Florida and has grown its asset base above $17M.

Our Mission: Our Fund Foundation promotes a culture of responsible philanthropy by uniting donors with organizations supporting the LGBT community to make South Florida the most livable community in the country for LGBT people.

Our Fund Foundation exists to support a sustainably livable community for all South Floridians by promoting and increasing responsible philanthropy directed at agencies advancing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties.
