Out of abundance of concern for the health, safety and welfare of our volunteers, exhibitors and patrons, and in discussions with the City of Wilton Manors, the Equality Garden Club (EGC) Board of Directors unanimously agreed to delay their annual March event until the Fall of 2021, November 13 th and 14 th .
According to The City of Wilton Manors’s Patrick Cann, Director of Leisure Services: “We fully support the EGC’s decision to delay as we too believe it is too soon to hold this significant event. EGC President, Van Gosselin: “We take the well-being and safety of our patrons, vendors and volunteers seriously and is our top priority. With that being said, we elected to delay our 2021 event to November.”
The annual “A Tropical Plant Fair” weekend transforms Wilton Manor’s Historic Richardson Park into a colorful bazaar, supported by over 60 selected exhibitors and thousands of patrons.
Feedback from a long-term vendor, Dan and Margie Orchids: “We agree that having the Spring event would be a challenge and the November timeframe will work well for us.” A Tropical Plant Fair Chairman, Carl Shearer stated: We are excited about hosting a Fall event, as it complements the holidays and great weather. As well, it prepares us for our upcoming event first weekend in March beginning in 2022 and thereafter.
