Most businesses that survived the pandemic have long since reopened, but a Provincetown (P-Town) favorite took its time and is coming back with a new look and amazing menu.
Johnny Thai Bistro has reopened after two years and is welcoming back regulars and new customers.
The restaurant is owned by Johnny Pak, who also owns Georgie’s Alibi Monkey Bar in Wilton Manors. There’s also a Monkey Bar in P-Town run by Pak. With South Florida being a home for snowbirds and P-Town being a huge summer resort, many LGBTQA+ will visit both over the course of finding perfect weather.
“We share many tourists and friends from P-Town to Wilton Manors and vice versa,” Pak tells OutClique. “Many Floridians know about Monkey Bar and Johnny Thai, and we are totally excited now that we have reopened.”
The restaurant and bar serve up food and drink that pushes the envelope, including the Sushi Martini. On the menu are Sushi Star Rolls, with each named after a celebrity. Honored stars include Pitbull, Cyndi Lauper, and Katy Perry.
Most importantly, Pak infuses everything with fun.
“We serve exotic drinks and have a fun atmosphere that’s sexy for sure,” he says.
