What Time is It?

Dear Readers,

As I write this letter, the large Google assistant display on my desks says only 8:00.  I know it’s PM because, well, just because I know it’s night time.

But have you ever had a nap so strong, you wake up not knowing the time, the day, or sometimes even where you are?  It’s a mixture of being totally refreshed and fear of “Where am I?” and “What am I late for?”

Does life ever feel like that?  You know everything is fine.  Nothing has changed about your credit, relationships, jobs, cars, or home.  But we seem to live in a society where no one can relax.  We’re constantly on our phones, social media, texting, or just “on the go.”

Recently I lost a good friend (and client of OutClique and cover story May 2022), Ken Keechl.  I haven’t really accepted that I can’t walk over to his office and see his smiling face and get some encouragement and good advice.

There’s a lot (and I mean, a lot) of events, activities, shows, galas, and parties coming this year.  Go to them and enjoy life.  Go and enjoy the food, the culture, the diversity, the music, and importantly, the people.  But be sure to take time for yourself to just sit in the quiet – and have peace.

Ken, may you be resting in His eternal peace.

May happiness be abounding.¹
