The Salvation Army of Broward County  has deployed two crews and two emergency canteens for disaster relief in Lakeland and the central Florida region in anticipation of Hurricane Ian. The team of officers, staff, and volunteers will be on-hand to assist with hurricane relief efforts through October 10.

“Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the families awaiting the impending storm,” said Major Stephen Long, area commander for The Salvation Army of Broward County. “Our mission is to assist the community and our regional neighbors during times of disaster and our crews are already on the ground with emergency personal care supplies and food to feed hundreds of people.”
