The OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Miami is back – bolder, brighter and in-person! Internationally acclaimed as one of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural festivals in the world, OUTShine returns for its 24th edition to unite the community through premier social events and programs like its Ladies’ and Men’s Spotlight Films & Parties that inspire, entertain, educate and encourage a sense of community.

This year’s Ladies’ Spotlight Film is “Anaïs in Love” (2021), directed by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet. This romantic French comedy follows 30-and-broke Anaïs. She has a lover, but she’s not sure she still embraces him. She meets Daniel, who immediately falls for her. But Daniel lives with Emilie – whom Anaïs also falls for. Post-viewing, attendees can enjoy an afterparty social at Diya’s Backroom with an open bar by Bacardi, light bites and DJ Citizen Jane.

For the Men’s Spotlight Film, it’s an evening of erotic romance as two young men make a connection neither of them expects or knows how to navigate in the East Coast premiere of the Australian feature “Lonesome” (2021), directed by Craig Boreham. This film takes audiences on a thrilling, hedonistic, erotic journey, depicting two characters, who not only seek sexual fulfillment but also acceptance and a meaningful bond. The afterparty, hosted by Edison Farrow, will feature an open bar by Bacardi, light bites, and performances by Janae Catt and Tiffany Fantasia with beats by DJ Adora.
OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Miami’s 2022 line-up features more than 45 international features and documentary screenings, panel discussions, three shorts programs, exclusive virtual showings, Cocktails & Cinema Happy Hours and incredible parties across various venues in Miami-Dade County through May 1.
