Green wreaths with red holly berries draped around for a splash of color is fine.. if you’re living in the midwest in the 1980s. But this is Wilton Manors in 2024 and fab Christmas decorations are mandatory.

Pub On the Drive is holding its eleventh annual Charity Wreath Auction on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 at 7 pm. Let the Christmas creativity begin! Some wreaths may light up, others may have animated Santa or Frosty figurines. The possibilities are endless.

People can start dropping off their wreaths the Sunday before. Pub patrons will be able to begin staking out their favorites as the decor starts pouring in. Proceeds will go to Kids In Distress, a Wilton Manors-based agency that helps children in our area. “We love working with Kids In Distress. They are a wonderful organization,” Pub owner Alexander Sadeghi told OutClique.

As in years past, the one and only Electra will host the night and serve as auctioneer. Be prepared and bring your wallet, because she knows how to drive up bids. Electra also knows how to throw a little shade, so make sure your wreath is flawless and your bid is worthy of her effort.

Sometimes, the wreaths make their way back year after year. People will purchase a fab wreath and return it the next year so it can raise more money and decorate a new place.
