Genesis Health Institute Raises $27,760 for Abandoned Pet Rescue

Genesis Health Institute, the intersection of next-generation medicine and medical aesthetics, is pleased to announce that they raised $27,760 for Abandoned Pet Rescue at their December 2022 event. A check for the proceeds was presented to Abandoned Pet Rescue leadership on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.

The money was raised as part of the annual holiday party titled “Celebrate the Season at Genesis Health Institute.” The party welcomed more than 100 guests and featured entertainment, food, raffles, prizes, and a fashion show.

The high-energy fashion show featured looks from State & Liberty Clothing Company/Athletic Fit. Popular DJ Marcio kept guests entertained with lively music while Stork’s Bakery provided hors d’oeuvres and libations. Raffles and prizes included a skincare gift basket, makeover gift certificate, and more. In addition, animals from the Rescue were available for adoption at the event. A few lucky pups even found forever homes as a result.

Genesis Health Institute started holding this annual event to support a worthy cause in the community. Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rescues and shelters abandoned and abused dogs and cats with the goal of finding them new homes. APR is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida.  In the past decade, APR has provided quality care for 6,800 cats and dogs.

“Our annual holiday party allows us to celebrate the season with our clients and our community while giving back to this great cause,” Dimitri Bakoulis, Chief Operations Officer of Genesis Health Institute, said. “It’s one of our favorite events of the year.”
