Distance

By Steven O. Evans, PhD

When I was a math teacher, one of the basic principles of Geometry was that the shortest distance between two points was a straight line.  But what about emotional distance?  How do we measure and quantify that?

Time is precious. So are our hearts and emotions.  One of my new life goals is to create more distance from people that are not good for me or aren’t on my team.  And draw closer to me those that love and support me.

It sounds simple.  But if we aren’t careful, the problem people in life will draw our attention away from the ones that value us.

Be intentional everyday about how you spend your time.  You can always make more money, but time cannot be regained.

Whatever bitterness, anger, resentment, or hatred you might have, that time could be spent with people you enjoy in life.

Life is short  Happiness need not be.

This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for so many friends, family, and blessings in life.  Thank you for being a part.  May you find joy this holiday season.
