 Red Speedo,” is about an aspiring young Olympic swimmer who gets caught up in a scandal — which threatens to derail his dreams — has been performed nationally and now makes its South Florida debut in Wilton Manors this December.  The play won both the prestigious Obie & Outer Critic Circle Awards and was nominated for a Lortel & Drama Desk Award for “Outstanding Play.”

About the Playwright: Hnath grew up in Orlando, but now teaches at NYU and is a resident playwright at New Dramatists. The winner of multiple playwriting awards, Hnath has written several plays that have been produced on Broadway, including “A Doll’s house, Part 2,” starring Laurie Metcalf (Tony winner) & Chris Cooper and “Hilary and Clinton,” directed by Joe Mantello, featuring Laurie Metcalf and John Lithgow.
