I had the pleasure of chatting more with Coss about his business and the impact Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping has made on the residences and businesses of Broward County.
Let me start off by asking you, when did you begin Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping, and where are you located?
Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping started in Virginia in 2000 and moved to Florida in 2010. I started working at a medical family office doing their books. In January 2017, Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping was opened at 2480 E. Commercial Blvd. Suite #3 Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308.
Tell me more about you. Why did you choose Accounting & bookkeeping as your chosen profession?
While I was in high school, I always enjoyed working with numbers, and even prior to graduating from high school, I was working at an accounting firm in Texas. So, my passion grew for numbers.
Have you always wanted to own and operate your own business?
Yes, and I have been an owner of a business for most of my life.
So even before opening Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping, you have always worked in some type of accounting job.
Yes, I have worked in accounting all my life.
What are some goals and accomplishments you would like to see Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping achieve within the next year?
I would like to see my business grow and double the size of what it grew last year. I would also like to be able to help various businesses in the LGBTQ community.
How much of an impact do you think your business has made in Broward County?
Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping welcomes all types of business and we do not discriminate.
What would you say is the number one financial advice you can give?
Always have a plan in place for your retirement income.
How would you say Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping is unique and stands out from other typical Accounting & bookkeeping businesses?

What would you say are some of the perks and challenges of your profession?
Every day is challenging, especially when trying to keep up-to-date with the changing tax laws. We have great clients and it is always a pleasure to work with different types of businesses.
How was Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping received by the Broward County community when you first opened?
Since the first day we opened, the community has been helping by supporting me and recommending their friends’ businesses to us.
How has Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping grown since you first opened?
Our client list grows each year. From the small businesses that we started with, to the more complex businesses we have added.
What’s next for you and Coss Accounting & Bookkeeping? Any plans to expand the business?
It would be great to open a second office in Dade County.
