The leading cosmetic medicine provider in Europe is on a mission to empower American men to overcome their physical insecurities via nonsurgical treatments, designed to refresh and restore a man’s natural beauty. Sisu Clinic specializes in Botox, dermal fillers and skin boosters, as well as procedures for permanent fat reduction. They have 14 locations across Ireland and the UK and opened their first American location in Florida earlier this summer.
This month, they are expanding with a second location at Brickell City Centre in Miami and they’re partnering with Miami Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for their launch party. Real Housewives of Miami’s Adriana de Moura, celebrity fitness trainer Christoph Babka and Vogue Magazine’s Transgender supermodel Lauren Foster are among the boldface names confirmed to attend the event, open to all! We spoke with Sisu Clinic’s Chief Marketing Officer Spencer Derrico.

BC: Congratulations on your new location at Brickell City Centre!
SD: We couldn’t be more thrilled! Brickell City Centre has an excellent vibe that attracts the young, urban professional who’s always on the go.
BC: Are treatments fairly quick at Sisu?
SD: We generally treat patients in under 20 minutes and all of our treatments are minimally invasive. Many of our patients go back to shopping or back to work right after a treatment.
BC: What are some of the leading services?
SD: Botox is, by far, our number one treatment. Men often come to us expressing their desire to look “less tired” and Botox helps address fine lines and wrinkles to create a more refreshed and energized appearance. Results typically last three to four months.
SD: Another popular treatment is Kybella®, a deoxycholic acid injectable treatment that addresses stubborn submental fat below the chin, what most people often refer to as a “double chin.” Kybella is a cytolytic drug that can assist with permanent fat removal in other areas as well, including the abdomen, back, thighs and arms.
BC: What is Sculptra®?
SD: Sculptra® is a newer treatment that utilizes poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a unique biostimulator that prompts the injection sites to produce collagen in your skin and helps address the primary contributors of skin aging, like sagging, loss of elasticity, and loss of volume. Sculptra was initially used to treat lipoatrophy, or severe fat loss, in the face, before later becoming FDA-approved for cosmetic use to improve skin tone, texture and over time, restore facial volume.
BC: Is there still a stigma associated with men seeking cosmetic surgery?
SD: The whole perception of what these treatments are and how we use them has radically changed. These treatments have moved into the realm of wellness, where men do not want to look hugely different but want to look their absolute best. For men, style, fashion, and fitness have moved into the mainstay.
BC: Even Joe Jonas recently acknowledged that he uses injectables in his face.
SD: Injectables is the next evolutionary journey in how men use skincare. They are becoming far more common.
BC: Why did Sisu partner with the Miami Dade Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce for the grand opening event?
SD: We welcome patients from all walks of life. The partnership is our small way of demonstrating openness and acceptance and inviting the LGBTQ community to be among the first to experience the Sisu difference. The Grand Opening party is September 15 at Brickell City Centre, 701 South Miami Ave, and it is open to all! Anyone interested in attending can register online for only $10. Tickets purchased at the door will be $20. There will be food, drinks, live entertainment and everyone will receive a $250 gift card to Sisu Clinic!
