AHF Donation Keeps the Lights On at Kyiv AIDS Center

AHF Ukraine recently delivered 30 portable LED lights and as many power banks to the Kyiv AIDS Center as part of humanitarian relief for the health care staff.

Staff of the Kyiv City Hospital No. 5, which houses the city’s AIDS Center have continued to treat patients 24/7 despite ongoing threats to their safety and mandatory blackouts.

“Our clinic always strives to provide quality HIV care and support to HIV-positive people. We have faced many difficulties, including losing power,” said Elmira Mamedova, Deputy Director of Medical Affairs at Kyiv City Hospital No. 5. “This could force us to interrupt patient services, but thanks to assistance from AHF Ukraine, we can provide services even in the temporary absence of electricity. We express our sincere gratitude to AHF for promptly responding and providing our clinic with these much-needed items.”
