Forget rosé all day, you’ll want to carve out the entire weekend for sipping on the sand at the Seaglass Rosé Experience this January 2022.
Palm trees gently sway in the salty, ocean breezes, as music floats through the air. Toes in the sand, with a glass (or two) of rosé wine in hand. Maybe a little dancing after the sun dips into the horizon, and lots of dining on culinary delights. These winter dreams come true at Seaglass, The Fort Lauderdale Rosé Experience, an elevated affair that takes place in the sands directly across from the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, on January 21- 23, 2022. Guests can mingle with top chefs, enjoy a tropical distance in exclusive cabanas with butler service, and sip some of the best rosés from around the world. Best part: it’s a pink-drenched party with a purpose.
Raise A Glass, Raise Awareness
For Carlos Suarez, founder of Seaglass, the festival is more than just a good time, it’s a party with a purpose that has a meaningful personal connection. Suarez, began to conceptualize the beachfront festival celebrating Fort Lauderdale while raising funds for cancer during his own cancer treatment and eventual recovery.
“I was able to visualize and manifest it,” says Suarez. He quickly solidified a partnership with Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation, and all proceeds from Seaglass would go to their DRV PNK initiative, which allocates money to national and local cancer charities. AutoNation has raised more than $28-million since 2013, with the anticipation they’ll hit $30-million by the end of 2021; and as part of their DRV PNK Across America campaign, they pack comfort bags for patients that include blankets, pillows and other items that will make treatment easier.
A Jam-Packed Line Up for Food & Wine Lovers
Seaglass continues to evolve its culinary endeavors with a chef-driven lineup starring six of Fort Lauderdale’s highly regarded chefs, most with national acclaim including Dean Max, José Mendín, Paula DaSilva, Taek ‘Taka’ Lee, Belkys Nerey, Steve Martorano and Nicole Rhone.
When it comes to the pink-hued varieties, there are over thirty, plus plenty of spirits and craft brews from around the world. During the 3-day event, guests have the chance to intermingle with the top chefs and taste their pairings that play nicely with rosé while enjoying musical performances and ocean breezes set against a stunning seaside backdrop.
