This holiday season, Island City Stage is thrilled to welcome the incomparable Broadway Barbara for her first-ever South Florida engagement from December 17-20, 2026. A legendary performer, social media sensation (@BroadwayBarbaraOfficial), and unstoppable force of fabulous entertainment, Broadway Barbara brings her Holiday Spectacular to vibrant life in Wilton Manors for a limited holiday event you won’t want to miss.
Barbara Dixon, the larger-than-life character originally conceived by actor and comedian Leah Sprecher at the famed Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles, is no mere entertainer; she is the living, breathing, dancing, screaming embodiment of entertainment itself. An inveterate performer with decades of experience, Barbara is a singer and dancer whose career has touched every medium and genre: from (off-) Broadway to (near-) Hollywood, and everywhere in between. She is a tireless artist, having logged more audition time without booking a lead role than any other performer in Broadway history.

And this year, Barbara’s giving the season a real kick in the Santa pants! To celebrate the release of her new holiday album — We Need A Little Barbara (available now from Razzmatazz Records) — Barbara is bringing along a sack packed with classic holiday tunes, a sleigh full of slay, and at least two stockings piled full of Christmas surprises.
“For the first time in our 15 year history, ICS has a holiday slot open at our theater,” says Christopher Michaels, Island City Stage’s Director Marketing and Community Development. “Holiday season offerings are full of the same lush, ‘feel good’ song-and-dance musicals that we’ve seen time and time again. So what could we give South Florida audiences that they aren’t getting anywhere else? Broadway Barbara was the hilarious and unexpected answer to that question: a new singing-and-dancing lush our audiences can feel good about!”

Individual show tickets are now on sale and start at $45. This show is not offered as part of Island City Stage’s FlexPass membership. The show runs for approximately 80 minutes with no intermission.
