A Look Ahead at the 2026 GMCSF Chic & Unique Ball Wild Elegance
I take great pride in our enduring partnership with the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida (GMCSF). Their artistry and dedication to inspiring, educating, and uniting our community through song continue to elevate our region.
This season marks an exciting new chapter as GMCSF welcomes Justin Fyala as executive director, starting October 19, 2026. Bringing ten years of leadership from the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC, and extensive expertise in arts management, Justin is a wonderful addition to South Florida.
On Saturday, October 24, 2026, GMCSF will host The Chic & Unique Ball: Wild Elegance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. This annual gala celebrates our community while honoring two extraordinary champions of LGBTQ+ advocacy and philanthropy.
Susan Renneisen, vice president of community affairs and special events at Seminole Hard Rock, will receive the Douglas Jackson Pew Community Leadership Award. Susan’s advocacy spans over four decades, beginning with the South Jersey AIDS Alliance during the height of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. At Seminole Hard Rock, she has championed over 350 charities annually, including more than 50 LGBTQ+ organizations, directing vital resources toward healthcare, housing, the arts, and equality.
The Chorus will also present the Corporate Crescendo Award to Brand g Vacations, a partner since 2015. A premier operator of luxury all-LGBT+ travel, Brand g has donated over $1.3 million to charities worldwide. This year, they continue their support by donating a seven-night Burgundy and Provence river cruise for two.
