Fort Lauderdale, Florida— November 21, 2024 — Today the Bears of South Florida announce that they will award $100,000 in grant funds to local LGBTQ+ organizations that is culmination of hosting 60 fundraising events this year.

“Our community is extremely generous this year and we are pleased to be able to grant awardees more than two times the amount awarded last year” said William Haas, President. This year, 12 local LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations will receive grants. The grant ceremony will be held at the group’s annual holiday party on Sunday December 8, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Westin Fort Lauderdale.
