The West End Lounge, is set to open on April 6, 2024, at 2100 Wilton Drive in the heart of Wilton Manors promising a new kind of nightlife experience in South Florida. Much like the Starlite Room in 1950’s Palm Springs, The West End Lounge hopes to become a community landmark by curating a calendar of the nation’s top performers in a sophisticated setting.
With a Mid-Century feel, inspired by blending historical elements with contemporary forms, finishes and textures, the stunning black marble top bar with gold accents sits high above a black and white Marmoleum floor. Rich velvets and leathers in mustard, blue and red create an intimate vibe and backdrop for vocal and musical performances. The stage houses a baby grand piano with deep red curtains, and the brand’s signature “crow” logo, celebrating the wildly intelligent species and their innate habit of leaving behind valuable items to the people who feed them.
Much like the symbolism behind the crow, the owner of The West End Lounge, Chris O’Neill, hopes to deliver valuable experiences to the community. A resident of Wilton Manors, O’Neill says, “I really wanted to bring something unique to Wilton Manors and the greater South Florida region. We designed a gorgeous, but comfortable, space centered around impeccable service that will highlight national Broadway and local talent; even incorporating musicians from the South Florida Symphony. Our cocktail menu is inventive and offers something for everyone – from classic to ultramodern.”
The hospitality team, rooted in five-star service will be led by GM Charlie Shed, thirty-year veteran of the Ritz Carlton enterprise. “Hospitality should have one standard – excellence – and we plan to deliver an outstanding and memorable experience to our guests every night of the week.”
Beverage Director, Nick Trainor hails from Detroit, where he worked behind the bar at Eatori Market and Leila, James Beard ‘Best Restaurant’ Nominee. With an emphasis on elevating natural ingredients through modern gastronomical techniques, Nick’s menu brings a new and creative collection of cocktails to Wilton Manors. With a mix of classic and specialty cocktails, his modern yet approachable menu features some creative twists on popular drinks like the West End Spritz, Brown Butter-Old Fashioned and Strawberry Social.
