A Day of Giving

Miami’s largest annual online giving day, Give Miami Day, is scheduled for Thursday, November 17, 2022. The annual giving movement unites nonprofits; big and small, new and established, to celebrate and increase generosity in Greater Miami through online giving so anyone can make a philanthropic impact.

Hosted by The Miami Foundation, Give Miami Day will raise funds for a record 1,000+ local organizations in every nonprofit sector from animals to education and from equity to the arts. Last year, 38,000 donors generously donated more than $32 million dollars to champion causes that strengthen our community.

This year’s campaign, the 11th anniversary, aims to be the biggest yet, and offers the community more ways and days to give. Donors can begin supporting their favorite causes during Early Giving, Monday, November 14, 2021, all the way through Give Miami Day. At 12:01 AM, Thursday, November 17, the 24-hour giving celebration officially launches.

So what does this mean for our favorite LGBTQA+ organizations?  This day means a lot!  Many organizations depend on this event to help them meet budget, so consider how you might want to step up.  With Give Miami Day your dollar goes farther because the Foundation offers Bonus Pool dollars to participating nonprofits to increase the power of donations, and in this case, help support organizations working to strengthen LGBTQA+ communities.

Here are ten LGBTQA+ serving organizations, of many, taking part in this year’s Give Miami Day for you to consider giving to:
