So, you’re sitting at home wondering, what should I do? Drag yourself out of the house, literally.
The drag scene in South Florida is hopping, popping, and I’d say topping, but I don’t know these gals personally to actually make that last claim.
We have the world-renowned Latrice Royale living right here in our midst from RuPaul’s Drag Race (our January 2020 cover). Don’t forget your plastic-wear, with Ms. Dixie Longate. Need some uplift? Ms. Nicolette, the Velvet Lenore, and a whole host of fabulousness is serving up some laughs, drinks, and eats over Lips.
You can’t miss our very own Hamburger Mary’s, with Trivia Nights, Mary’s Got Talent, Dining with the Diva’s, Sunday Tea Time, Bingo Nights, and always “more to come” on their line up and calendar. Be on the lookout for Nicole Halliwell. This gal’s all over town and even doing a nation-wide tour. She even took over the cover of our November 2021 issue.
We’re always glad to see Candy Cornhole Cox and her band of do-gooders at the Pub on the Drive. Georgi’s Alibi has a long list of gals that includes London Adour, TP Lords, and slew of others. Jump on over to the Eagle Sunday Service with Starlet Sky. Want to sit a spell with the gay top 40? Miss Bouvee will make you feel so welcome, you’ll be tappin’ your foot and smiling before you know it. Our sensational February 2021 cover.
And headed to Key West? I personally promise you’ll love your night in (out?) with the always fabulous Randy Roberts at La Te Da, our May 2019 cover star.
There’s a whole bunch more I could mention, so be on the lookout for all we have here in the South Florida drag scene. We are super thankful for the gals that are working so hard to entertain, uplift, fundraise, and help bring our community together.
BYOL (Bring your own lipstick)
Dr. Steven
