Put simply, Critical Race Theory describes work and research done by “activists and scholars interested in studying and transforming the relationship among race, racism, and power” (Delgado and Stefancic). This discussion will cover topics and issues that bring us toward a more critical understanding of systematic racism including social constructions of race, racial discrimination and racism, racial Othering, “post-racialism,” and colorblindness rhetoric, historically and in our contemporary moment.
