June is Pride month. Colorful floats, passionate marchers, and music. How do you keep that spirit of connection going year-round? The local non-profit agency and clinic Latinos Salud lives up to its tagline of “Pride, Community, Support” all year.
How? Latinos Salud’s “Health & Culture program” hosts free events every month, both on-site in their four South Florida locations, and off-site. Some events can only fit a dozen guys. Their wildly popular kayaking days, food bazaar, and bike trips each make room for 100 guys or more!
Do you find yourself wishing there were better ways to meet people than through the apps? Do you think it might be fun to socialize in places other than the bars and nightclubs? Health & Culture group members describe the feeling of “instant community” for those who join these events.
There’s no need for first-timer’s anxiety when you join one of these events. An active member, Christian, says “We tell everyone: this is the place,” where friendships are formed and strengthened in settings that allow conversation and fun. Though the events are mostly attended by Latino guys, other gay guys are welcome.
In just the first few months of 2026, the agency sponsored dozens free events, including:
- Full moon party on the beach
- Heated Rivalry-themed ice skating event
- Theatre night at Island City Stage
- Figure drawing class
- The finale to the agency’s own local drag pageant
- Candlelight concert
- Field day exercise and activities at the park
- Pajama party
- Meditation and crafts class
- Visit to the Renaissance Festival
- Three movie outings with the Outshine Film Festival

Already on the calendar for the coming months, Latinos Salud is offering
