Dear Readers,
Pride. Celebration. Class. Style. Thankfulness. Endurance. Vision. Party. Family. Love.
These are just some of the words that come to mind when I think of June – the month dedicated to celebrate who we are as a community.
Friends, we cannot take this for granted. Some days I wonder what strange movie I am in and who wrote the plot. I listen to the things some of our “leaders” are saying, making it OK to take us decades back in time as a culture. This is the time to do something or say something, so we will not be put back into the shadows.
But I think also on this. I have the awesome privilege to live and work in this amazing place called – South Florida. I sit here with the doors open. I can almost smell the sunshine.
Friend, no matter what happens “out there,” the joy I have “in here” cannot be taken away. No one can stand in the way of your goals, your dreams, and who you want to be.
Take pride today, the month of June, and looking ahead. This is a place for Everyone Under the Sun.
May happiness be abounding.¹
